Description
Pai Mu Tan White Peony – Classic Flowery Fujian White TeaOur fine Pai Mu Tan White Peony is a classic Chinese white tea, naturally grown and produced in Fujian Province. White Peony is made from the buds and young leaves that remain after the first-flush Silver Needle harvest. While it's slightly darker and bolder in aroma than Silver Needle, its pleasant sweetness clearly shows the family resemblance. Pai Mu Tan is still plucked by hand in the traditional manner, at a ratio of two leaves to every bud, following strict quality and tasting standards introduced during the Ming Dynasty. Processing is kept to a minimum: the leaves and buds are withered and dried almost immediately after picking, preserving their delicate, natural character. Tasting Notes
