Description

Gui Hua Osmanthus Oolong – Osmanthus-Scented Taiwanese Oolong

"Gui Hua, " or osmanthus, is an enchanting aromatic tree that blooms several times a year in China. Its tiny golden-yellow flowers carry a lovely apricot-peach floral fragrance, and they've been used for centuries to scent fine teas. Our Gui Hua Osmanthus Oolong pairs these fragrant blossoms with a high-quality Taiwanese oolong.

It's prepared using the traditional scenting method: osmanthus flowers are layered with the tea leaves so they absorb the flowers' complementary fragrance. The result is a sweet, fresh and peachy tea that's a traditional treat you won't soon forget.

Tasting Notes

  • Aroma: sweet apricot-peach osmanthus

Love this one. The osmanthus really comes through. It brings back memories of a trip to China where I fell in love with the scent of osmanthus. A freshly brewed cup of this tea brings a really lovely sensory experience!
Smells Just Like Osmanthus
May 2021
I used to live in an area that had a lot of osmanthus trees but realized it wasn't quite popular as a fragrance. I came across this tea on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I'm so shocked that it smells exactly like the fall when the flowers bloomed.
The tea has a light floral flavor and is absolutely perfect no matter the time of day. I will definitely be buying more once my current stock runs low. Highly recommend!

This tea is truly amazing! Im not much for adding flavours and flowers to tea, but I definitely will make an exception for this one! The floral taste and smell is more than enticing! Like honey and apricot.
