This tea is really, really good. I smell and taste green olives, but my husband gets root beer. It's a fresh vibrant taste. I recommend a little lower temperature than is on the package (it recommends 190F for 3 mins, but I felt that brought out a little bit too much astringency, and I'd recommend 180/185F for 2.5 mins).

Beautiful color and taste. The overall taste of the tea is like eating a mix between a baked potato and mixed vegetables. It even smells savory, too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. I use a scant handful of leaves in a tea kettle infuser. Umami flavor is there, pretty smooth and easy to drink.

I am using 1 gram of tea per 100ml of 202°F water. Pouring the water into an unwarmed teapot attains about 190°F after quickly equalizing. I use 5g with 500ml water inside an Adagio ingenuiTEA Teapot. The first brewing infusion is two minutes and I add on thirty seconds for each subsequent infusion.
The smell is light grass and umami with just a slight hint of smoke. Moderately smooth mouthfeel and the smells follow through in the flavor. Somewhat mild overall and no bitteness. Easy drinker that could be enjoyed all day.
