Supreme Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrow – Rare Bud-Only Wuyi Black Tea

Supreme Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrow is a rare gem among black teas — a masterfully crafted brew made only from the freshest early-spring buds. These buds grow at extremely high elevations, around 1, 500–1, 800 meters above sea level, on the mist-clad slopes of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. Raised in high-altitude gardens and harvested by hand, each slender bud is chosen for its purity and golden-tipped vigor — the ultimate raw material for a tea of exceptional character.

Craftsmanship & Heritage

Since its creation in 2005, Jin Jun Mei has risen to become one of China's most prestigious black teas. Only single buds are selected — no mature leaves — and processed with the utmost precision through withering, rolling, oxidation and gentle roasting. The result is tightly curled leaves with fine golden tips, a hallmark of meticulous craftsmanship and premium quality.

Tasting Notes

  • Liquor: radiant, glowing amber
  • Aroma: sweet and floral, with hints of orchid and honeyed blossoms
  • Flavor: delicate malt and honey, often likened to sweet caramel or toasted barley
  • Fruit: subtle stone fruit and dried-fruit sweetness
  • Body: velvety and smooth, with zero harsh astringency
  • Finish: a long, lingering, refined sweetness

Why You'll Love It

Thanks to its high bud ratio and expert oxidation, Jin Jun Mei is known for exceptional brewing endurance — the flavor stays full and sweet through many steepings, revealing new layers of aroma with every cup. It's a luxurious, beautifully smooth black tea that impresses seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike.

  • 100% early-spring buds from the high Wuyi Mountains
  • Hand-harvested and meticulously crafted
  • Honey, malt and floral complexity with no bitterness
  • Rewards multiple infusions

How to Enjoy

Brew it gongfu-style in a gaiwan to appreciate how the aroma evolves from infusion to infusion, or enjoy it in a mug as a truly special everyday luxury. Serve it plain to savor its natural honeyed sweetness — no milk or sugar needed. It also makes an elegant gift for any black tea lover.

A very fresh, floral-forward Jin Jun Mei. The leaves are very beautiful, and once brewed, they're tender enough to eat. The tea leads with a floral note, than then goes a little fruity, and finally turns malty at the back of your tongue. It doesn't have the robust, in-your-face body of the normal Jin Jun Mei sold here, but it makes up for that in complexity.
