Assam Mangalam – Bold, Malty CTC Assam Breakfast Tea

Our unique Assam Mangalam black tea comes from the Mangalam Estate in the northeastern Indian region of Assam — one of the largest and most celebrated black tea-producing regions in the world. This BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) grade tea is unique in both appearance and flavor: the leaves are broken and then granulated into small pellets, producing a dark mahogany cup with a rich, malty and exquisitely smooth flavor.

Thanks to these tiny granules, Assam Mangalam infuses a delicious, strong cup very quickly. It tastes deliciously malty and is bold, rich and gently floral, with a bright cup and strong liquor. It's a must for lovers of black tea and Assam varieties in general!

Absolutely magnificent black tea that keeps me grabbing my mug for another sip. Brews into a beautiful, clear amber with a bold and balanced flavor that delivers a pleasant jolt of caffeine that makes a gal grateful for such delights. ????

This is malty, bold, and rich. It holds up so well to additions and doesn’t taste weak or bitter when following directions. I just have to remember it’s best brewed at a lower temperature than most black teas I use. But I find this blend to be satisfying and perfect for breakfast tea, especially.

This Assam is my favourite breakfast tea and at a good price. Brews reliably too - I use 2 minutes in boiling water.

This is the best Assam I’ve had in a long time. It tastes delicious and very strong. Be careful not to over steep as it can get bitter. I liked this one
