[EN] Profound, delicate, reviving. Batches can vary, but consistently washes me away in a verdant 'monsoon' of grassy splendor. When brewed richly, provides a mouthfeel that you can almost chew. When brewed lightly, entrances with subtle whispers. Restores hope, optimism, imagination. Truly a gem in the world of sencha - don't forget to drink it if you get mesmerized by its outstanding emerald hue. Not the most flavorful second steep, but still my all-time favorite green tea.

[EN] Like the gyokuro I purchased at the same time I can't get over how fresh, verdant and zingy tealyra's Japanese greens are, they make most I've tried before seem lifeless and stale. All the health claims made for green tea - they taste plausible. This is a particularly lovely rounded and 3 dimensional sencha.

[EN] This tea is exquisite and hands down superior to many a gyokuro. I get 3 cups out of my leaves, by first doing a 1½ - 2 minute brew, then a 4 minute steep for the second cup, and for the third cup I leave it for 8 minutes or so, so it's good value as well.

[EN] One of my new favorite sencha teas! I find the flavor to be a good mix of sweetness, umami and grassy flavors. The 2nd infusion is milder but enjoyable too. A good value!
[EN] This is my new favorite organic Japanese green tea. I'm usually drawn to gyokuro teas, but the grassy, smooth flavor and beautiful green color of this tea is my white whale: a tea that tastes, smells and looks like my first green tea in Atami, Japan. I get three steepings out of every teaspoon. Very happy.
[EN] This tea has overshadowed my prior sencha favorites. Don't let it steep too long but do enjoy the differences in 2nd and 3rd steepings. Grassy, fresh, lively.

[EN] not the top grade at Tealyra but can stand on it's own. color yellow-green; tastes very pleasant, grassy umami not sweet; 2nd infusion strong umami no astringency; 3rd a bit weaker but still tasty

[EN] I love the flavour of this tea, but it is so fine it is almost like Matcha! This is my first time trying this particular Sencha (I have tried 2 others) and none of them were quite as much like a powder, they both had leaves that you could leave to dry out for multiple times. Because it is so fine, the tea is not clear, very cloudy. But as I said, wonderful taste.
[EN] I did not love the first brew, brewed 1 1/2 minutes, taste was somewhat astringent. However, 2nd and 3rd were wonderful (brewed 2 minutes each). Slightly sweet with a great mouth feel.
